Coventry City and Ipswich Town are interested in signing Celina from Dijon this summer as reported by EADT. Coventry City are in the second tier of club football known as the English Championship, while Ipwsich Town failed to gain promotion from League One to the English Championship last season meaning that they will continue their club football in the third tier.

Celina is no stranger to Ipswich Town after he spent a season on loan with the club. The attacking midfielder was with the Tractor Boys for the entire duration of the 2017/18 campaign. Ipswich Town are keen on securing a return to the club for him but it would be on a permanent deal rather than a loan deal. While he was at Ipswich Town some seasons back, Celina scored eight goals in 38 games for the club under former manager Mick McCarthy. It was revealed that Ipswich Town will face stiff competition from Coventry City in the quest to sign Celina from Dijon this summer.

One factor that could work against Paul Cook’s men is the fact that Ipswich Town are in the third tier of club football in England. Apart from Coventry City and Ipswich Town, Hull City are also keen on signing former Manchester City prospect Celina. He also has interest from the Dutch Eredivisie having previously played for FC Twente.

Dijon player Celina has three years left on the four-year contract signed by him upon joining his French team from Welsh club Swansea City in a £3m deal. He had scored seven goals in two years at Swansea City.
